Today, we walked into the Chicago Visitors Center and heard this beautiful music. I was just about to ask the clerk about the artist of the music that I heard playing over the speakers, and looked over to see Hiko playing the music live. I was instantly mesmerized and sat down and listened to the entire performance. It was truly beautiful and incredible and took away all my worries and stresses of the past weeks. Now I am listening to the CD's we purchased including First Embrace which is equally incredible. I will be buying more copies for my daycare center to use in the classrooms for quiet times. As a musician, I am always searching for something new and different, something that is not only exceptional musically, but something that touches my soul and inspires me. As soon as I began playing Hiko's "First Embrace" I knew I had found a soundscape upon which I wanted to experience life. "Wish", "Sophies Tears", "His Life on Earth" "October Sky", and "Angels Sing" are a few of my favorites. These and Hiko's other melodies are exquisite in their ability to gently and lovingly guide the listener to go beyond what they know of themselves, to experience all their emotions and ultimately, the beauty of their soul. It's Magic- Hiko's "First Embrace" CD is masterfully composed. The music takes one on a "journey", one that is as unique as the person listening to it. My favorite track is "Wish". This piece takes me to my heart center and fills me with rushes of energy and waves of peace. My husband and teenage son both have their unique experiences with this CD. My husband walked in the house one night after a very stress-filled day and I had the "First Embrace" playing. I could see his face start to change and relax as he became aware of the music. He sat down and listened to the rest of the music and I watched his body posture shift into a mellow state.
